Empathy, Humanity, Trust, and Love—those values have guided Rocket Software every step of the way for over three decades. At the core of that is our people, which we fondly call our ‘Rocketeers’. Our more than 3,600 Rocketeers are responsible for helping us drive innovation and provide customers with the right modernization solutions to thrive in a rapidly evolving technology landscape.
As Rocket Software enters its 35th year, we remain committed to that purpose and investing in our people to deliver it. We’re excited to expand our offerings for Rocketeers, kicking off a fifth year of our Aurora program with reacHIRE, as well as two new leadership development opportunities—Voyager and our 1:1 soft skills coaching through Bundle, which is rolling out after a successful pilot.
We’re set for a busy month of leadership development, mentorship, and professional enrichment. Let’s explore what the return of Aurora, and the launch of two new programs means for Rocket Software employees.
Beginning in March, Rocket Software will have three unique leadership development programs that focus on technical leadership, empowering female leaders, and enhancing soft skills for our leaders. Since 2021 we have seen tremendous success with the Aurora program, with over 140 participants completing the 6-month journey – Including last year’s class of 38 new graduates. Here’s what a few Rocketeers have had to say about their own experiences with Aurora:
“The Aurora Program is not just about learning another new skill. It’s a lot about finding your confidence. The program is kind of like a boost for your self-assurance. And seeing other women face the challenges was like a lightbulb moment for me. Suddenly, I wasn’t alone.” - Veronika Seliverstova
“With the Aurora Program you will gain invaluable insights into the essence of effective leadership. One of the programs highlights has been the privilege to learn from the rich experience of fellow participants, women leaders at Rocket, and exceptional reacHIRE guides. This shared wisdom has significantly contributed to my professional and personal growth.” - Vidhya Kumar
“Aurora has had a big impact on my life – in my personal and my work life. It has taught me to speak up and to learn that I don’t always have to accept ‘no’ as an answer to some questions. It’s also taught me to believe in myself and have strength and courage – not second guess myself and be strong.” - Jaime Stetler
With so many success stories coming out of our Aurora program, there’s no better time to expand Rocket Software’s repertoire of leadership and professional development offerings. There are two new programs launching this month, Voyager, which brings a focus on fostering technical leadership skills, and Bundle, which is aimed at Rocket Software’s people managers and influencers, helps participants build and improve on a variety of soft skills with personalized coaching sessions. Here’s a short look at our newest leadership initiatives.
Voyager is a new program, built in partnership with reacHIRE, for Rocketeers in technical roles to take part in a holistic development experience powered by human connection. Over the course of six months, Rocketeers will take part in a mix of team meetups and 1:1 sessions to develop skills centered around strategic thinking for thought leadership and innovation, effective communication skills for influencing stakeholders, increasing adaptability, and strengthening technical mentorship abilities.
Through a new partnership with Bundle, people managers, along with other Rocketeers can engage in a customized program with individualized training to help develop durable skills in a self-paced setting. The program offers participants learning across topics like effective communication, emotional intelligence, and managing change that through assessments is tailored uniquely to each individual’s proficiency. We know these capabilities help impact our high-performing team's culture.
As a new cohort of Aurora and two new programs get underway, we’re excited to give Rocketeers even more opportunities to learn, grow their careers, and develop new skills.
